We step into a world of grotesque, but optimistic, surreal characters, where King Pippin's subjects wish him good morning, while he happily pursues the arts of seduction... Lewis dances with jesters in belled caps in the Fool's Ball, the fans and lorgnettes fly, the ladies-in-waiting whisper secrets... And visits to the boudoir are in groups of three...
"My pictures are veils or colored filters, on which little pieces of reality stick. My paintings simultaneously show grotesque irony and expressive raw emotion, femininity and a joyful, coloristic will to live."
